When creating a new website for Upplands-Bro kommun we have worked with the user need as our main focus. A big shift has been to build options for the different ways of navigating a website that contains a lot of information in different areas that effects the people of Upplands-Bro every day.
A user friendly interface with less information on the main page, an effective internal search and a clean design which helps visitor focus on the actual content is part of the result.
The process has contained workshops with users/editors, strategy, concept, design and moving of content. An important step has been educating the 35 web editors and cleaning and prioritising the content. The number of pages on the website has been reduced from 2400 to 860.
